Dr. Hogg built her career on understanding the relationship between technology and psychology. Having immersed herself in the rapid advances in the tech space from its modest beginnings, she is well-versed in several media psychology concepts.


Academic Credentials

An experienced media psychologist, she worked in the Psychology faculty for many universities. Once she established herself in the field, she ended up as head of psychology departments.  She is the current director of the Fielding Graduate University School of Psychology and is president of the American Psychological Association’s Society for Media Psychology and Technology.


Professional Experience

Dr. Hogg is renowned for her expertise in media psychology consulting. She has worked for several institutions and companies where she performed research and analysis. She also worked for DOD Global Operations on an anti-terrorism simulation. Here used narrative psychology to degrade and counter-terrorist messaging in Iraq, Syria, and North Africa. 

Work Experience

She is a coveted industry speaker with over 50 scholarly presentations on the subject of media psychology and is a pioneer in the field. Dr. Hogg has also spent six months working with the U.S. Department of Defense Global Operations.
